Mandy holds a Master's degree from Duke Divinity School and earned her undergraduate degree in Humanities from Brigham Young University. Her deep appreciation for the arts and scripture creates beautiful connections permeating every aspect of her scholarly and personal life.

 

Mandy's transformative ecclesiastical mission in Russia revealed the profound power of cross-cultural communication and linguistic understanding. This inspires her ongoing study of Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek, and enables her to examine scriptural texts with greater proximity to their original languages and cultural contexts.

 

Academically, Mandy explores the rich theological territories of the Divine Feminine and Mary Magdalene, with rigor and spiritual insight. She shares her extensive learning through adult religion classes at Project Illumination, leading educational tour groups across diverse global destinations with Forbidden Adventures and writing and producing her podcast, "Reflecting Light." Through these multifaceted engagements, she deepens students' and fellow travelers' experiences of the divine through transformative learning experiences, and encounters with beauty.

 

Mandy and her husband Brent cherish their roles are parents to three remarkable children and grandparents to one grandson. The family currently resides in Utah, where Mandy continues her scholarly and educational endeavors, and maintains a modest collection of flamingo memorabilia.
